Frequently Asked Questions
What standard do construction boots need to meet in Australia?
AS/NZS 2210.3, the occupational protective footwear standard: a toe cap tested to 200 joules of impact and 15 kN of compression, plus slip- and oil-resistant outsoles. Every boot on this page carries it.
Steel toe or composite for construction?
Either meets the standard. Steel is slimmer and usually cheaper; composite is lighter and doesn’t transfer heat, cold or electricity — useful for electricians and for cold mornings.
Do I need a penetration-resistant midsole?
If nails, rebar, offcuts or demolition debris will be underfoot, yes — look for “PR midsole” or “penetration resistant” in the product description.
