Work safety glasses, goggles and face protection

Safety glasses, safety sunglasses, goggles, visors and face shields from uvex, MSA, 3M, Bolle, ProChoice and Riley, for construction, warehousing, manufacturing, mining and outdoor work. In Australia, occupational eye protection is tested to AS/NZS 1337.1; most glasses and goggles here list it, so check each listing for its rating before you buy for a site.

Choosing a lens

UV: many lenses list UV400 or 99.9% UV filtering — check the listing if you work outdoors all day. Fogging: look for anti-fog (AF) coatings for hot, humid work or when wearing a mask.

Safety glasses over prescription glasses

Over-specs are sized to fit over most prescription frames: the 3M 2700 Series Overspec and the uvex super f OTG.

Goggles

Glasses protect against flying particles from the front; goggles seal around the eyes for dust, splash and fine particles. Indirect-vent goggles such as the Bolle Universal Goggle and uvex I-Guard+ Planet suit grinding, cutting, spraying and chemical handling.

Visors, browguards and face shields

Welding shade glasses

Shaded glasses such as the Bolle Tracker Welding suit lighter hot work. For arc welding you need a welding helmet — see our welding protection range.

Site supply

Many ranges come in packs of 5, 10 or 12 for crews. A wall-mounted safety glasses dispenser keeps spare pairs at site entries and workshop doors.
