Safety Glasses for Warehouse & Logistics

In a warehouse the hazards are flying particles from strapping and packaging, dust off racking, and the fog that hits every time you walk in and out of a cold store. Medium-impact safety glasses to AS/NZS 1337.1 with anti-fog and anti-scratch coatings cover most of it; sealed goggles cover the rest. Below is what we stock from uvex, Riley, ProChoice, EPIC, Bollé and 3M — singles and bulk packs — for delivery Australia-wide or collection from Auburn NSW by arrangement.

Warehouse eyewear checklist

  • Medium impact (the “I” marking under AS/NZS 1337.1) for pick-and-pack, docks, strapping and forklift work; high impact only where the task demands it
  • Anti-fog inside plus anti-scratch outside for cold stores; sealed goggles where dust or splash is present
  • Clear lenses indoors; smoke or grey only in outdoor yards; polarised for reflective glare
  • Bulk packs of 10–12 for crews; scratched lenses go in the bin, not back on the shelf
  • Complete the kit: warehousing & logistics PPE guide, cut-resistant gloves, composite-toe boots; browse all eye protection

Frequently Asked Questions

What does “medium impact” mean?

AS/NZS 1337.1 tests medium-impact lenses with a 6.35 mm ball at 45 m/s (marked “I”); it is the rating specified for most industrial work, including warehousing. High impact (marked “V”) is for grinding, chipping and similar high-energy tasks.

How do I stop safety glasses fogging in the cold store?

Choose a lens coated anti-fog inside and anti-scratch outside — Riley Stream Evo, uvex i-5 or ProChoice Proteus 5 — keep it clean, and give the glasses a moment to equalise. Indirect-vent goggles such as the uvex ultravision or 3M GoggleGear are the fallback for repeated in-and-out work.

Can I wear safety glasses over prescription glasses?

Yes. Overspecs such as the 3M 2700 and wide goggles such as the uvex ultravision are designed for it, and the 3M GoggleGear 500 takes an optional prescription insert.

How many pairs come in a box?

Most ranges come in packs of 10 or 12 — ProChoice, EPIC, uvex, Riley and Bollé — and singles are available for trials.
