3M™ Wide Brim Safety Helmet Unvented (Box of 10)

The 3M HH40 is an Australian-made, unvented ABS safety helmet with a full 50 mm brim that shades the face and neck, keeps rain and splashes off the neck, and helps deflect falling objects. It is certified to AS/NZS 1801 as a Type 1 helmet for general industrial use, including mining, construction, transport, forestry and heavy engineering. Sold in a box of 10.

When to replace it

Field tests show helmet shells generally last at least 3 years from issue, while harnesses wear faster and should be replaced at least every 2 years. If the issue sticker is missing or the helmet hasn't been issued, replace it 3 years after the manufacture date stamped under the brim; the year is in the centre of the stamp, with an arrow pointing to the month.
